Classic wooden boat has compiled the definitive list of Australian Marinas.

Also included is a list of public swing moorings, where available. As cruising yachts people we have been constantly frustrated with the lack of readily published marina data. This is a 'must have' cruising companion for local sailors or visiting overseas cruisers, as they say...don't leave home without it.

We have compiled this listing in the direction, we would sail leaving our home port Yaringa Marina in Westernport Bay Victoria Australia, heading across to Tasmania, then up the East coast of Australia, the preferred cruising route to take advantage of favourable cruising trade winds.

Where possible, we have included all telephone contact numbers, enabling cruisers on the water to book ahead for the nights that they decide to stay in a marina, as opposed to a swing mooring or hanging on their own anchor.

We understand that mobile telephone coverage and internet access can be frustrating out on the water, and that even the best laid plans are at the mercy of the 'weather gods'. With this list on board you are assured of a good nights sleep, safe provisioning and available repairs right around the Australian coastline.

Many of the Yacht Club listings welcome visiting cruisers for short term or overnight berthing, where available.

The complete Marina list will be available as a downloadable .pdf document for inserting in your boat or cruising manual...we hope it will become an 'essential cruising compendium.'
